Clare & Dustin

There is so much to say about Dusty and Clare, I don't know where to start. The love they have for each other was so apparent and heart-wrenchingly sweet on their wedding day; you could really tell they had eyes only for each other. The moments of bliss and sweet, tender caresses were so bountiful! To top it off, these two were the most laid back couple I've ever photographed. I probably say that quite a bit, but seriously these guys redefined my definition. We even joked that Clare was the anti-bridezilla helping her bridesmaids with their dresses and bracelets and super patient throughout the youtube tutorial on how to lace up her dress.
Everything went so smoothly their wedding day, even the weather thought it was a good idea to behave, shading us right before and after the ceremony. Believe me, a June wedding in New Mexico is a lot more enjoyable with a little cloud cover!  Hope you enjoy the summary of that joyous day:

4th of July Fireworks

So I recently came across a fun "how to" article on shooting fireworks in a whole new way. Check it out at  http://rikandesphotography.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/fireworks-like-youve-never-seen-them-before/ if you are interested in the concept behind it. Really had a ton of fun this year trying my own hand at this! Hope you enjoy and Happy 4th of July!

Kory & Anjaleah

I have said this before, but I will say it again, I am truly blessed to know some amazing people! Months ago, I was invited to photograph a wedding by a fellow photographer Ms. Antonia Adams. If you haven't checked her out you, you should! She is an amazing gal! I hadn't noticed I had their post sitting in limbo till now so please forgive me for the late posting. Kory and Anjaleah were such an adorable couple and you could really feel the love between them. While it was a very different experience not being the main photographer (yay for less stress, but I kind of missed being in charge!) I'm happy to have had the opportunity to share in their day and document a portion of it for them!
